Enjoy good company and spectacular scenery
Welcome to the North Yorkshire Walkers website
If you're new to North Yorkshire or have lived here for some time and are looking for a friendly local walking and hiking group, we would love to meet you! Most of our current members live in or around Northallerton, Thirsk, Brompton, Leyburn and the Richmond area, but we also welcome other walkers in North Yorkshire from further afield.
Unlike many other walking groups including those around Northallerton and Thirsk, North Yorkshire Walkers walk each Sunday throughout the year, which is great for individuals who cannot go walking during the week. We tend to hike mainly in the Yorkshire Dales, Nidderdale, North York Moors, Howardian Hills and Teesdale, however, on some occasions, our walks may include the coastal areas such as Staithes, Saltburn-by the-Sea and Whitby
